Anthony Brent Henegar, one of three brothers who graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving and pursued careers in dentistry, was the first to start a Henegar dental practice. His dedication to the field began early, with a clear ambition to become a dentist established in seventh grade. Throughout high school, he nurtured this aspiration by joining the Health Science Club, gaining valuable experience and knowledge about dentistry.
Admitted to dental school at the young age of 19, Henegar completed his program at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston Dental Branch in June 1995. Remarkably, at just 23 years old, he was the youngest student to graduate that year in Texas.
He began practicing in Irving shortly after graduation and, due to a rapidly growing patient base, moved locations multiple times within the city. In October 2004, he established his own freestanding office building, officially founding the first Henegar dental practice. During his time there, he served as the dentist for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders for several years.
Dr. Henegar has volunteered teaching dental health in schools and provided dental care at clinics for indigenous communities. He is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
In 2018, Anthony Henegar sold his Henegar dental practice, marking the end of an important chapter in his career. However, after several years away, his passion for dentistry brought him back. In 2023, Anthony returned to reopen his practice with renewed energy and dedication.
Throughout his journey, one thing remained constant: the positive feedback from his former patients. They consistently praised the painless injections they received under his care, a testament to his skill and expertise. Now, as he leads his practice once again, he brings with him the confidence that his trusted reputation will continue to grow.
